Created by Rodrigue Ridel-Ottou and Ibrahim Kande, childhood friends and sports enthusiasts, King Nelson X - KNX is a sportswear brand that pays tribute to these great men. It is this originality that seduced me.

I discovered them during a fashion show for the African Festival in Normandy on June 4 and 5, 2016, then as part of the first edition of the partner Association ADECT, which fights against exclusion, on Saturday, June 25.

I go backstage and head towards Rodrigue, who was kind enough to talk to me about it.

Dany: Hello Rodrigue

Rodrigue: Hello Dany

Dany: How did you come up with the idea of creating this brand?

Rodrigue: The idea was to stand out from other brands by bringing a different spirit, inspired by personalities who have marked history with their values and carried by a message of unity, tolerance and sharing.

Dany: I am wearing a KNX sweatshirt and, like the readers, the question I would ask myself is: aren't you afraid of controversy?

Rodrigue: There is no controversy...

Dany: What are your plans?

Rodrigue: We will be at New York Fashion Week very soon. It is in this city that the story begins. At the same time, we would like to make a donation to an educational association that conveys the same message as these leaders. This is an approach that is close to our hearts. We also want to make ourselves known in Africa, starting with South Africa. The dream continues...
