Dany : Why did you use a French blogger?
Bob : I'm using a French blogger for strategic reasons because I'm aware that I have a lot of audience in French-speaking regions, so I want to reach them faster.
Dany : This year, you have participated in exhibitions in several countries, including Argentina, Spain, and most recently at Art X Lagos during Fashion Week. It must have been a rewarding experience and adventure.
What can you tell us about these exhibitions ?
Bob : 2019 was such an amazing year for me because my career took a different turn, resulting in numerous international exposures, all in an attempt to give more visibility to my protest art. I had an art residency...
Introduce yourself
Bob : I'm Bob Nosa Uwagboe, a visual artist from THE PROTEST ART STUDIO in Lagos, Nigeria.
Dany : You had exhibitions in Argentina, at the Out of Africa Gallery, and at the Barcelona Beirut Art Fair. Art X Lagos was credited to Out of Africa Gallery.
And finally, you are starting the new year with an exhibition in Poland. How do you feel about that?
Bob : 2020 is going to be big for me because it's starting on a good note with a monographic exhibition in the Department of Modern Art in Poland, based in Abbots Palace. This will open on January 14th and run until May 24th, 2020. It will be curated by Malgorzata Paszyik Glaza of the Department of Modern Art. 89 artworks will be on display.
Dany : Thank you for allowing us to know you better.
